Blue Jays Season Odds
The Toronto Blue Jays will once again hitch their hopes this season on ace Roy Halladay and a good, but not great offensive lineup.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the Blue Jays 75/1 long shots to win the 2009 World Series and established their American League Pennant odds at 40/1.
You can’t talk about the Blue Jays without first mentioning their Cy Young-caliber ace, Roy Halladay. Halladay continues to be one of the best starting pitchers in all of baseball and even if Toronto is in a slump, at least they know their No. 1 will give them a chance to halt their woes every fifth day.
The Jays’ lineup is comprised of a bunch of solid hitters. The names Lyle Overbay, Aaron Hill and Marco Scutaro won’t knock your socks off, but when you team them with All-Star Alex Rios and the always-dangerous Vernon Wells, you have the makings of a pretty good offense.
Toronto could be one of those teams that surprises this year. They don’t have a great starting rotation after Holliday, but if a couple of the unproven arms produce, the offense is good enough to keep the Jays in contention for most of the season.
