Brewers Season Odds
Even though they couldn’t convince ace CC Sabathia to stick around for more years, the Milwaukee Brewers should compete in the National League thanks to their stellar offense.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the Brewers 50/1 long shots to win the 2009 World Series and established their National League Pennant odds at 17/1.
The Brewers’ starting rotation took a hit this offseason when CC Sabathia signed a free agent contract with the Yankees. Milwaukee also lost long-time starter Ben Sheets, who declined arbitration and then the club decided against re-signing him because of his various injury concerns.
The Brewers will once again have a ton of offense at their disposal, with young superstar Ryan Bruan, and quality bats in Prince Fielder, Corey Hart, J.J. Hardy and Rickie Weeks. The question surrounding this club is whether or not Yovani Gallardo, Manny Parra, Jeff Suppan, Dave Bush, Braden Looper and Seth McClung can produce and keep this team in connection all year.
The Chicago Cubs are supposed to run away with the NL Central, but that doesn’t mean that the Brewers won’t give them competition and considering the National League is weak on a whole, Milwaukee might be a great value bet at 17/1.
