Atlanta Braves Fantasy Spin
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a pair of runs scored as the Braves edged the Marlins on Sunday. Freeman walloped a 93-mph heater from Marlins’ southpaw Caleb Smith over the fence in right field for a two-run homer, his first of the season, in the opening frame. He also led off the ninth inning with an infield single and came around to score the winning run on a base-hit from Dansby Swanson later in the frame. The 29-year-old fantasy superstar has gotten off to a blistering start, hitting .419/.561/.645 with a 10/4 K/BB ratio in nine games.
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Rockies’ manager Bud Black said Sunday that David Dahl felt “something below abdomen near oblique” after his final swing in the first inning against the Dodgers on Sunday. Black added, “we are keeping our fingers crossed”. Dahl has a history of oblique issues, so there’s definitely reason for concern here. Raimel Tapia replaced him in the Rockies’ lineup on Sunday and could be in line for increased playing time (and mixed league fantasy relevancy) if Dahl is forced to spend time on the injured list.
