New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Aaron Judge hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs in a 6-4 victory over the Orioles on Saturday. Judge hit both of his homers off of Dylan Bundy, with the first roundtripper coming in the first and the second in the third with a runner on. It’s the first two homers of the year for the slugger, which is a bit surprising considering we are eight games into the year. Something tells us he might hit some more before the season comes to an end. Judge is hitting .290/.405/.516 and remains a fantasy stalwart. That fact isn’t changing anytime soon
Baltimore Orioles Fantasy Spin
Trey Mancini went 2-for-5 with a homer in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday. The homer was a solo shot off of J.A. Happ to tie the game at 1-1 in the first inning. Mancini now has four homers on the season already, and he’s slugging a healthy .788 in the first eight games of the 2019 campaign. There aren’t many Orioles who offer fantasy value, but Mancini just might be one of them.
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games played in Baltimore.
Baltimore
The Orioles have dropped nine of their last 12 games overall with the Yankees.
Prediction:
Injuries have put a damper on the Yankees offensive production thus far but they did come alive yesterday thanks to Judge and Clint Frazier. Baltimore starter David Hess allowed 1.9 HR/9 a year ago, which is an eye-popping number. That number also came along with a 1.38 WHIP so Judge, Gleyber Torres, Luke Voit, Brett Gardner and Greg Bird could all have a field day at Oriole Park this afternoon. The Yankees will have to match their run production from Saturday but oddsmakers are giving us +110 odds on the over for New York’s team total, which offers value.
The Pick: New York Yankees Team Total OVER 5.5 (+110)
