Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Justin Turner went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored in the Dodgers’ win over the Rockies on Saturday. Turner recorded three singles and was also hit by a pitch. The 34-year-old third baseman remains an elite on-base machine, slashing .294/.390/.324 with seven runs scored and seven RBI in 40 plate appearances. If he can stay healthy, he’s poised to drive in plenty of runs in the heart of a loaded Dodgers’ lineup.
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
David Dahl went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in the Rockies’ loss to the Dodgers on Saturday. Dahl hammered a majestic 445-foot homer — his second round-tripper of the spring — off Dodgers’ starter Walker Buehler in the fourth inning. He also plated a run with an opposite-field single in the eighth. With the notable exception of the 25-year-old budding superstar outfielder, the entire Rockies’ offense went into hibernation, mustering only six hits combined in this one.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are a perfect 7-0 in their last seven meetings with the Rockies.
Colorado
The Rockies have now dropped four of their last five games at Coors Field when facing the Dodgers.
Prediction:
If you want to go with the more conventional route and take the over, I’m not going to stop you. With the way the Dodgers are mashing, Coors Field will always give bettors a chance to cash the over. That said, the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams in Denver and is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings between these divisional foes. Thus, I’m going to isolate the Dodgers. Chad Bettis owns a career FIP of 4.54 and with the way the Dodgers are mashing, there’s no reason to fade their offense. Plus, with L.A. being the road team, we’re guaranteed a full nine innings, whether the Dodgers are winning or losing heading into the final frame. They need to score seven runs tonight for us to cash, but we’re getting +105 on the money line. I’m rolling the dice that this L.A. team continues to light up the scoreboard.
The Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers Team Total OVER 6.5 runs (+105)
