Nationals remain favorites to win WS
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With Opening Night in MLB kicking off tonight in Chicago, let’s take a look at the latest 2015 World Series odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Nationals are 6/1 favorites to win this year’s World Series after adding ace Max Scherzer to their already loaded rotation. The Dodgers, meanwhile, have the next-best odds to win at 17/2 following a busy offseason that saw them trade Matt Kemp and acquire Howie Kendrick and Yasmani Grandal.
Continuing with the odds, the Red Sox are 10/1 to win this year’s World Series after winning the Fall Classic in 2013. The Mariners are also 12/1 to win this season’s title, as are the Cardinals, who will visit the Cubs on Sunday night to open the season. Following the Angels at 14/1, the Cubs, White Sox and Tigers are all 16/1.
The defending World Series champion Giants are in a group that consists of the Indians, Pirates and Padres at 20/1, respectively, to win it all this season. The A’s and Blue Jays, meanwhile, are 25/1 to win.
