Blue Jays’ 2015 MLB Season Odds
TORONTO, ONTARIO (The Spread) – How many wins will the Blue Jays rack up in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Blue Jays’ over/under total for wins has been set at 82.5 for the 2015 MLB season. They’re also 25/1 to win the World Series, 12/1 to win the AL Championship and 3/1 to win the AL East Division, which puts them behind only the Red Sox (7/4).
The Blue Jays will have a deep and powerful lineup that should set them apart in the American League. Their biggest offseason addition came in the signing of catcher Russell Martin, who provides veteran leadership and savvy defensive skills. The rest of the lineup will consist of leadoff man Jose Reyes, sluggers Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion, as well as newcomers Josh Donaldson and Justin Smoak.
The rotation and pen are certainly good enough to not hold the club back and if some of the youngsters in the staff step up then the Jays could feasibly win the division. R.A. Dickey, Mark Buehrle, Marcus Stroman, Drew Hutchison and Aaron Sanchez are currently penciled into the starting rotation.
