Rangers’ 2015 MLB Season Odds
ARLINGTON, TX (The Spread) – With the team already dealing with injuries, oddsmakers have set the Rangers’ over/under for wins in 2015 below 80.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rangers’ over/under for wins in 2015 has been set at 76.5. They’re also 50/1 long shots to win the World Series this season, 22/1 long shots to win the AL pennant and 6/1 to win the AL West Division.
The Rangers were dealt a huge blow when ace Yu Darvish was forced to undergo Tommy John surgery in early March. Making matters worse is that fellow pitchers Yovani Gallardo (acquired in the offseason from the Milwaukee Brewers), Nick Tepesch, Colby Lewis and Anthony Ranaudo have all struggled in spring training.
At least the offense still packs some punch thanks to Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre. Shin-Soo Choo, Leonys Martin and Elvis Andrus will also be key contributors again this year and with Darvish out, the Rangers may have to lean on their offense if they’re going to win over 76.5 games in 2015.
