Rockies’ 2015 MLB Betting Odds
DENVER, CO (The Spread) – The Rockies aren’t expected to win a division or World Series title this year but will they win at least 72 games in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockies’ win total for 2015 has been set at 71.5. They’re also 150/1 long shots to win the 2015 World Series and are 75/1 to win a NL Pennant. They’re also 50/1 to win the NL West Division.
The Rockies were quiet this offseason but did make some moves. They signed catcher Nick Hundley to a two-year contract and utility infielder Daniel Descalso to a two-year deal as well. They also exercised their club option for reliever LaTroy Hawkins and signed pitcher Kyle Kendrick to a one-year deal.
The biggest problem with the Rockies’ projections for 2015 is that they play in the same division as the high-spending Dodgers, the rebuilt Padres and the defending World Series champion Giants. Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez will need to stay healthy for the Rox to have any shot and health has been an issue for both players during their careers. This club just has too many holes to even be a sleeper to win 80-plus games (or even 75-plus games).
