Cubs’ 2015 Season Odds
CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – After adding a new manager and a new ace, will the Cubs will over 82 games in the 2015 MLB regular season?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cubs have an over/under of 82.5 for number of wins in the 2015 regular season. They’re also 10/1 to win the 2015 World Series and have 6/1 odds to win the NL Pennant.
The biggest move the Cubs made this past winter was signing Jon Lester to a massive six-year deal with a vesting option for 2021. They also acquired a new catcher when they traded Jeferson Mejia and Zack Goldey to the Diamondbacks in exchange for Miguel Montero and added Lester’s personal catcher from Boston in David Ross via free agency.
The Cubs also have a new manager in Joe Maddon, who worked wonders on a small budget in Tampa Bay. Other additions included Jason Hammel, Chris Denorfia, Dexter Fowler and Jason Motte, a former closer from Chicago’s biggest rival, the St. Louis Cardinals.
