(The Spread) - After adding Cliff Lee to their already stacked starting rotation, the Philadelphia Phillies have become the overwhelming favorite to represent the National League in the World Series. Continue reading to check out our 2011 National League Pennant odds report.

Most people believed that it was down to the Yankees and Rangers as to which teams were going to land Lee this past winter. But instead, the Phillies pulled a Yankee move by swooping in at the last second with an offer that Lee couldn’t refuse. He joins a star-studded rotation that already features Roy Halladay (the 2010 Cy Young winner), Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Phillies are –130 on the money line to win the 2011 National League Pennant, which makes them the clear favorite. The teams with the next best odds are the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals, who are each +700.

Speaking of the defending World Champions, the Giants didn’t make any household changes this offseason. They re-signed Aubrey Huff and brought in aging Miguel Tejada to replace the aging Edgar Renteria at shortstop, and also lost out on re-signing super-utility man Juan Uribe (who inked a deal with the rival Dodgers).

The hope is that prospect Brandon Belt will earn a starting job out of spring training and that Pablo Sandoval will rebound from his rough 2010 campaign. If those two things happen, the Giants’ offense should be in good shape, especially with phenom Buster Posey ready for his first full season in the majors.

Of course, the Giants’ hopes once again rest on the arms of young starters Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Madison Bumgarner and Jonathan Sanchez, who led the G-Men to their first ever World Series title in the city of San Francisco. As long as those four arms stay healthy, the Giants will have a shot to repeat.
