Should you wait to bet SB XLVIII?
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Is there any value of waiting until Sunday to bet Super Bowl XLVIII? Let’s examine the line movement.
The line for the Super Bowl opened as a pick’em and at that point we saw tremendous activity on the Broncos as the general public bet that line heavy. The movement pushed the line all the way up to +2.5 in some places.
If you’re a Broncos bettor it would be in your best interest to bet this game now as I see this line going up to 3 by kickoff on Sunday. If you’re a Seattle backer, wait until you can get this game at +3 then pounce on it.
There are several things you must think about before betting the Super Bowl. Weather is one of the first factors to consider when making your decision. Is there a possibility of snow, rain or wind? Will it be played outside or inside? Playing outside normally will favor a team with the better defense. Match up is the next thing you look at who has the advantage on offense who has it on defense?
Injuries are a key factor when making your play on a side. Right now the Seahawks are super healthy with no key injuries. The public most times always loses there Super Bowl play and this year will be no exception.
Look for a key number here if over 69% of the public bets are on one side simply fading that side will make you a very happy gambler over many years. So Id say the only true advantage to betting the Super Bowl Early is of you were on a major public side then get it in as early as possible. Good luck Chase Diamond.
