2012 WGC-HSBC champions free pick predictions odds trends

KUALA LAMPUR, MALAYSIA (ATS Consultants) – The Fall Series remains on hiatus this week, but many of the game's best will head to China for the season's final WGC event.

This is only the third year for this event. A field of 78 players will tee it up Thursday in the WGC-HSBC Champions from Mission Hills GC in Shenzhen, China. Martin Kaymer won this event last year.

Justin Rose 12-1

Rose followed his exhibition win in Turkey with a T-6 finish in Shanghai. He's become a very consistent player. Rose leads the European Tour in stroke average and leads the PGA Tour in GIR percentage. He was T7 here last season. In other two WGC stroke play in 2012, he won at Doral and was T5 at Bridgestone.

He's coming off his FedEx Cup title and ranks No. 1 in strokes gained-putting on the PGA Tour. He's also third in birdie average.

Longshot

The Austrian won the Ballantine's Championship last April by five strokes. Three months later, who won the Lyoness Open in his homeland. He also has five top 10s in the last 12 months. and a fourth at the Portugal Masters three weeks ago. He ranks 18th  on the European Tour in distance off the tee, which will come handy with the quintet of par 5s on the Olazbal Course.
