WGC-HSBC Champions Odds


SHANGHAI, China (TheSpread) – The final WGC event of 2013 takes place this week as the WGC-HSBC Champions event will be held in China. Here is a look at the odds to win this tournament.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win, as he has 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Henrik Stenson (14/1), Phil Mickelson (14/1) and Justin Rose (16/1).

McIlroy is sixth in the world rankings, but he is seeking his first win of 2013. He has finished in the top 10 in just one of his last four events and in only two of his last 12 golf events.

Stenson is fourth in the world rankings and he has won two of his last four events and was also the 2013 FedEx Cup winner. Stenson has placed in the top 10 in seven of his last 10 events.

Mickelson is a two-time winner of the event, last winning in 2009. He is currently third in the world rankings, but has finished outside the top 10 in six of his last seven events. He has three victories in 2013.

Rose is fifth in the world rankings and coming off a sixth-place finish in the TOUR Championship. Rose has finished in the top 10 in two of his last four events and he has one win this year, which was the U.S. Open.

The WGC-HSBC Champions takes place Oct. 31-Nov. 3 from Sheshan International in Shanghai, China. For a look at the odds to win this golf tournament, see below.
