Walkers wins Frys.com Open

SAN MARTIN, CA (TheSpread) – The opening event of the new PGA season saw Jimmy Walker come out on top, as he won the Frys.com Open.

Walker posted a 5-under 66 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -17 overall, two shots ahead Vijay Singh, who finished at -15 overall after posting a 68 on Sunday.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jimmy Walker had 25/1 odds to win this event, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $2,500.

Scott Brown and Kevin Na made a surge up the leaderboard on Sunday, as each had a 7-under 64 in the final round to finish at -14 overall, which put them in a tie for third. Brooks Koepka started the day in the lead, but shot a 1-ovr 72 on Sunday to finish at -14 overall.
