NORTON, MA (ATS Consultants) - The second event of the 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs moves to Norton, Mass for a Friday-Monday schedule.
Webb Simpson won last year here beating Chez Reavie with a birdie on the second hole of the playoff. Simpson made a 30-foot birdie on the par-5 18th hole. Nick Watney won last week in the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, holding off Brandt Snedeker at The Barclays.
If he's not heartbroken over his girlfriend's first-round loss at the U.S. Open (Caroline Wozniacki), he should do well here. He is second in birdie average on tour this season. He hits the ball a ton and should dominate this course.
Dufner took last week off but he's been playing well. He is fourth on the PGA Tour in greens hit and third in birdie average. He has six top 10s in nine starts and two wins at the Byron Nelson and Zurich in New Orleans. He also recorded a T2 finish at this even in 2009.
