Villegas wins Wyndham Championship

GREENSBORO, NC (TheSpread) – Camilo Villegas ended a winless drought that lasted over three years on Sunday by winning the PGA Wyndham Championship.

Villegas got the victory by shooting an impressive 7-under 63 on Sunday to get to -17 for the tournament. That put him one shot ahead of Bill Haas and Freddie Jacobson, who each came in at -16 for the tournament.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Villegas came into this tournament with 100/1 odds to win the event, which means a wager of $100 on him to prevail will pay out an additional $10,000.

Nick Watney was in the mix entering the final round, but shot an even-par 70 on Sunday to finish at -14 overall. He double bogeyed the final hole to slip out of contention. Haas shot a 64 on Sunday while Jacobson carded a 66 to finish tied for second place.
