Clarke fired a 1-under 69 on Saturday to get to -5 for the tournament while Johnson posted a 2-under 68 to climb to -4 for the tournament. Only six golfers are currently under par for the tournament.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, Johnson is the favorite to win the tournament with 2/1 odds while Clarke has 3/1 odds and Rickie Fowler has 11/2 odds.

Clarke started fast on Saturday, posting a birdie on the first hole, but he finished even par from there, taking pars on the final six holes of his round.

Johnson had a wild third round with six birdies and four bogeys. Johnson was -5 for the tournament with three holes to go in his round, but a bogey on No. 17 left him one shot behind Clarke.

Fowler was over par or even for most of his round but a three birdie stretch in four holes pushed him to 2-under for the tournament.

The 2011 British Open is played at Royal St. George in Sandwich, England and final round play takes place on Sunday, July 17, 2011.
