According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win, as he has 9/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Lee Westwood (16/1), Phil Mickelson (16/1) and Webb Simpson (18/1).

McIlroy is second in the world rankings and he has placed in the top 10 in 10 of his last 17 events. McIlroy missed the cut in this event in 2011 and placed second in last year’s event.

Westwood is 12th in the world rankings. He is coming off a pair of top-10 finishes in his last two events. He placed fifth in this tournament a year ago.

Mickelson is 11th in the world rankings, but he has failed to crack the top 10 in his last three golf tournaments. He placed 26th in this event last year and ninth in 2011.

Simpson is 18th in the world rankings and he is coming off a second-place finish in his last tournament after missing the cut in his last two events prior. Simpson placed fourth in this tournament last year.
