Pettersson rolls to RBC title

HILTON HEAD, SC (TheSpread) – There wasn’t much competition for Carl Pettersson during the final round of the 2012 RBC Heritage, as he won by five shots.

Pettersson led by one shot entering Sunday’s final round, but posted a 2-under 69 on Sunday while other of the top contenders went over par. Pettersson finished -14 for the tournament while Zach Johnson came in second at -9 overall.

According to oddsmakers, Pettersson had 55/1 odds to win this tournament at the beginning of the week, which means a $100 wager on Pettersson will pay out an additional $5,500.

Colt Knost was in second entering Sunday’s round, but shot a 3-over 74 to finish third at -8 overall.
