Arnold Palmer Invite Picks
ORLANDO, FL (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The PGA Arnold Palmer Invitational gets started Thursday morning. Here are a few golfers to consider for this event.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Tiger Woods was the favorite to win, as he had 13/2 odds entering the week, but he had to pull out of the tournament due to a back injury.
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s tournament.
Watson is now one of the favorites to win this weekend and he comes in ranked 12th in the world. 2014 has been off to a good start for the lefty, as he has placed in the top 10 in his last four outings with one victory and a pair of second-place finishes. He finished fourth in this event two years ago and knows how to contend for the title on this course.
Rose is also one of the favorites with Woods out of the running. He sits sixth in the world rankings and looking to get on track for 2014. He only has one top 10 this year, but he was the runner-up at this event last year and finished 15th in 2012. Rose is the kind of player that can turn it on quickly and he is too talented and too strong at this course to not be in contention.
English is 38th in the world rankings and working on a good start to his 2014 season. He has four top 10s and that combined with a win in his final event of 2013 puts him on a nice run. He made the cut in this event last year, so he has familiarity with the course layout and he has the odds to jump on. He hasn’t missed a cut in 14 straight tournaments, so he will be in the mix. One strong round can put you in contention for a big payout.
