Updated 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Odds to Win: Bruins, Hawks co-favored
By Anthony Rome

LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Following an eventful first week in free agency, here's the latest odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins and Blackhawks are now co-favored to win next year's Stanley Cup at 8/1 odds. The defending champion Kings are right in that same mix at 9/1 while the Penguins, Blues and Ducks are all 12/1. The Sharks, meanwhile, are 14/1 to win the 2015 Cup.

Continuing with the current odds, the Rangers are 15/1, the Lightning are 16/1 and a host of teams including the Canadiens, Wild, Avalanche, Stars and Red Wings are all 18/1, respectively. The Flyers are also 30/1, while the Blue Jackets and Canucks are both 35/1. The Capitals are 40/1 while the Maple Leafs are 45/1.

Some mid-range long shots including the Senators, Coyotes and Islanders, who are all 55/1, while the Jets are 60/1. The Predators, Panthers, Devils, Hurricanes and Oilers are all 65/1, while the two teams with the longest odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup are the Sabres and Flames at 100/1, respectively.

The Blues arguably made the biggest splash in free agency, landing the top center on the market in former Aves center Paul Stastny (4 years, $28 million). The Wild also made a bold move in signing former Canadien left wing Thomas Vanek to a three-year, $19.5 million contract while the Pens signed the best defenseman on the market in Christian Ehrhoff (one-year, $4 million).
