Detroit Pistons at Philadelphia 76ers

With a 120-98 loss to the Houston Rockets the Philadelphia 76ers have officially tied the 2010-11 Cavs' record for consecutive losses with their 26th in a row (9-17 ATS). Pistons not exactly firing on all cylinders going 1-7 (3-5 ATS) last eight, 3-14 (7-10 ATS) last seventeen on the hardwood, 1-13 (6-8 ATS) last fourteen away from 'The Palace' could be the medicine Sixers need to snapp the ugly drought. Could is the operative word. Pistons have already won/covered three games vs Sixers this season moving the mark to 7-1 SU/ATS last eight encounters.

New Orleans at San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio the hottest team in the NBA put a sixteen game win streak on the line (12-4 ATS) when they host New Orleans on Saturday. Never easy for any team to win in Alamo City and we doubt Pelicans at 2-18 SU last twenty in Spurs back yard can get the job done. However, Pelicans playing their hearts out having won/covered last five on the hardwood including wins over Clippers and Heat can keep it within cover range. Keep in mind, as good as Spurs have been on home court (28-8 SU) they're only 16-20 against the betting line, 8-9 laying double digits in front of the home crowd, 4-7 ATS last eleven hosting Pelicans and a vig losing 3-3 ATS as home faves playing without rest

Hawks as cold as the Arctic against the Wizards

After a hot start, the Atlanta Hawks have become a wasteland for bettors. The Hawks are 5-20-1 against the spread in their last 26 overall and an atrocious 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 road games. And if history continues, it doesn't look like an end to these woes are coming for Atlanta.

The Hawks will travel to the Verizon Center to play the Wizards Saturday and that is not good for Atlanta backers. A terrible 0-6-2 ATS record in the last 8 and a 0-4-1 ATS record in Washington could be enough to ward off bettors.

Atlanta opened at 4.5-point road dogs Saturday.

Clippers/Rockets collide in huge matchup, with huge total

If you're looking for a heavyweight tilt in the NBA Saturday, look no further than the L.A. Clippers visiting the Houston Rockets.

The Clippers and Rockets are first and second in the NBA in offense and because of that they opened with the biggest total (215) on the schedule. There offensive prowess may be exaggerated for bettors because there is little history supporting the over play.

At the moment, the Clippers are the hottest under bet in the NBA, 1-8-1 O/U record in their past 10, with their only over coming against a hot offense in Dallas.

The one game in the past five meetings between the Clippers and Rockets saw a ridiculous offensive outburst from J.J. Redick (26 points) and Jamal Crawford (21 points).
