We really like this match up for the Badgers. Arizona plays very good defense, but Wisconsin has the best offense (4th nationally in adjusted efficiency offense) the Cats have seen this year. They can score from every position. The two top offenses in the Pac 12 are Oregon (ranked 11th) and UCLA (ranked 12th). Arizona split their 4 games with those two teams with their two wins coming by 4 & 2 points. In three of those four games their opponent (Oregon & UCLA) were able to score more than 1 point per possession. Those two offenses were quite efficient against Zona and we expect the Badgers to be the same. While Wisconsin was destroying Baylor on Thursday night, Arizona struggled with San Diego State. In fact the Aztecs led for a majority of the game and it was a 4-point game with 30 seconds left. That’s despite the fact that SDSU shot only 39% overall and just 29% from 3. Arizona shot much better at 48%, yet the game came down to the final seconds. UW will be fine offensively in this one. They’ve already faced 4 of the top 10 defenses this year beating Florida, Virginia, and St. Louis and losing by a single point to Ohio State. The Badgers have been a dog 4 times this year and won 3 of those games outright. Wisconsin is the much better shooting team and if this one comes down to the FT line, they shoot 74% to just 65% for Arizona. The Cats thrive on getting extra possessions by turning teams over and picking up offensive boards. The Badgers don’t turn the ball over (2nd least nationally) and they are a very good defensive rebounding team. This is a great match up for the dog and we take the points with Wisconsin.

Jeff Scott Sports

3 UNIT PLAYS

Wisconsin/ Arizona Over 130.5: Both teams play excellent defense, but these teams have also been pushing tempo this year as well and I see that as the key here. The Badgers come in averaging 73.1 ppg on the year and in their last 5 games (all on neutral courts) they have averaged a healthy 77.1 ppg. Arizona has also been solid on offense this year, as they have averaged 73.1 ppg on 47/1% shooting for the year, while on neutral courts they have put up 70.6 ppg on 48% shooting. Both teams shoot the ball very well and both are good from long range, plus Wisconsin is very solid at the FT line. This should be a tight game and OT is a possibility and with no tomorrow for the loser, so it a late FT fest. I expect at least 138 in this one.

Florida/ Dayton Under 133: The Dayton Flyers played a high scoring game vs Stanford in their last game, but their first two games of the tournament their games have scored just 108 and 119 points and I see this one being low scoring as well. The Flyers are a decent offensive team, but they will be going up against a very good Florida defense that has allowed just 57.8 ppg on 39.9% shooting for the year. Florida also held a powerful UCLA offense to just 68 points and they have allowed just 57.3 on neutral courts this year.  The should be able to hold the Flyers to 60 or less here. The Florida Gators also played a high scoring game in their last game, but that was vs and very fast tempo paced UCLA squad and while Dayton won't slow it down, they are still not as uptempo or as offensively talented as the Bruins. On defense the Flyers are solid as they have allowed just 67.1 ppg overall, including just 65.6 ppg in their last 5 games. Gator neutral site games have averaged just 124.9 ppg and I see no more than 125 in this one.  70-55 sounds about right fr this one

Michael Alexander

Anaheim Ducks vs. Vancouver Canucks
Play: Anaheim Ducks -109

Anaheim already has clinched a postseason berth but still is in a chase as it trails San Jose by one point for first place in the Pacific Division. Patrick Maroon and Mathieu Perreault each recorded a goal and an assist as the Ducks were edged by Edmonton in overtime on Friday. Anaheim won each of the first three meetings with Vancouver at Honda Center this season, outscoring the Canucks 16-5.

AC Dinero

Wisconsin vs. Arizona
Play: Arizona -3

We'll bacl Arizona mainly because of their defense, as they give up 38% versus 43% for the Badgers. The absence of F Brandon Ashley hasn't hurt the Wildcats thus far. I don't see it today because Wisconsin isn't your typical physical Wisconsin team that is tough on the boards. If they are to win, they will have to hit shots against a tough Wildcat defense, a challenging task indeed. One edge Wisconsin does have is at the FT line. But the Arizona defense and bench should get them to the Final 4

Larry Ness

Sacramento Kings at Dallas Mavericks
Pick: Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are in the midst of their longest homestand in franchise history (eight games) but the team’s playoff push has been stuck in neutral. The Mavericks have split their first six of eight consecutive games at American Airlines Center, after blowing a 11-point lead in the fourth quarter of their latest game there against the clippers on s Thursday. Dallas (43-30) has fallen from seventh in the Western Conference and 1 1/2 games in front of the final playoff berth to one-half game behind Memphis for the final playoff spot. The Grizzlies are idle Saturday after losing for just the sixth time in 22 games Friday. The Suns (7th-seed), one game ahead of the Mavericks, are also idle after winning their sixth in a row.

The good news is the Kings are coming to town tonight. The Mavericks have won 16 of 18 overall matchups with the Kings, including splitting this season's series. They fell 112-97 in Sacramento on Dec 9, but the Mavs rallied from a 14-point deficit in the third quarter for a 107-103 win on Jan 31 in Dallas. It marked Dallas' 19th consecutive home victory against Sacramento, as the the Kings haven't won in Dallas since Feb 27, 2003. The Mavericks are running out of time to crack the top-eight in the Western Conference standings, so they’ll need to win the games they’re supposed to down the stretch. That begins with tonight’s matchup against the visiting Sacramento Kings.

Alex Smart

Detroit vs. Toronto
Play: Over 5½

The Leafs really looked like they were going to make the playoffs easily this season, But that was before their current 7 game losing streak. The team is no longer getting hot goal tending and have now allowed 28 goals during their current win drought. Meanwhile, the Detroit Red Wings have not played that much better and are on a 3 game losing skid of their own. With their goaltending and defense not living up to expectations. Red Wings G Jimmy Howard, who will make his ninth straight start Saturday, has allowed four goals or more in five of his last seven postings between the pipes. This game Im betting features enough offense for the total to be eclipsed. These pertinent trends also point to this wagering option.
Over is 4-0-1 in Red Wings last 5 overall.Over is 11-1 in Maple Leafs last 12 Saturday games.Over is 20-8-1 in Maple Leafs last 29 home games.Over is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings.

Dennis Macklin

New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs
Play: New Orleans Pelicans +14

Both these teams are playing great but as good as the Spurs have been, not willing to lay this type of points vs. a decent Pelican outfit. New Orleans has won its last five going 4-0-1 against the points while the Spurs have won 16 straight covering nine of ten. They've also won 10 of the last 11 in the series but .... San Antonio has a reasonably "safe" three game lead for best record with just 10 to play and this is the time of year that Pop starts limiting minutes for the playoff run. The Pelicans have been playing out the string for a while and will likely be without the services of Anthony Davis and several others here but the reserves are obviously still playing hard. Bottom line .... too many points.

Will Rogers

Detroit vs. Philadelphia
Pick: Detroit

Because a loss tonight would give them a NBA record 27th straight, we are able to actually get good value going against Philadelphia tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Trying to Avoid History - This game is probably Philadelphia's best chance at winning a game the rest of the season. Interestingly, they still need two wins to exceed the season win total the books projected at the start of the season.  Two wins seems like a pipe dream at this point.  So does one. Because everyone is expecting "effort" tonight from the team in hopes they will end the losing streak, we are able to grab value. They are 1-9 ATS this season as a home dog of +3.5 to +6 points.

2. Lack of Defense/Lack of Offense - Philly is the worst defensive team in the league by a wide margin.  They allow more than 110 points/game.  There was a time when they were at least scoring, but that time has passed.  Over the last five games they are averaging less than 92 points/game.

3. X-Factor - The Sixers have lost 18 straight home games.

OC Dooley

Heat / Bucks Over 198.5

Most reading this analysis will remember Wednesday heavy-hyped ESPN national telecast where Miami came up just short at Indiana in what turned out to be a low scoring 84-83 war which was extremely physical.  Last night the two-time defending champion Heat seemingly received a break facing an opponent (Pistons) who has statistically one of the worst defenses in the league.  As if right on cue Miami responded with a 110 point effort where superstar LeBron James recorded his initial “triple double” (scoring, rebounding, assists) of the season.  But last night’s game still stayed “below” the closing total (199) as the Detroit offense was held below the eighty-point plateau.  With LeBron and company facing a poor opponent for a second consecutive evening odds are they will finally find a way to slip OVER a total which has actually declined from the opening offshore figure of 201-and-a-half points.  For those who have access to this evening’s tilt keep an eye out for Milwaukee’s Brandon Knight who is coming off a massive THIRTY point effort which is big news since he was held to just a combined 15 points in the prior pair of games combined.  Knight just happens to be a native of Miami which gives him special incentive to for tonight’s tilt.  Since the Bucks still have the worst overall record in the league the LACK of defense is the major factor and they are allowing a hefty 114 points per pop in the most recent five outings.  For the entire season after consecutive games where the team has allowed
