Wunderdog

Ohio vs. East Carolina
Pick: Ohio +14

This game should feature a lot of offense as a pair of experienced QBs will be at the helm for their respective teams. Playing in Florida in December should also bring mild conditions. I think that each team is going to design a game plan to put pressure on the opposing team's QB, and in the end that should be the difference maker. You have to give the edge here to the Bobcats as they have protected QB Tyler Tettleton very well, allowing just 16 sacks on the season while they have downed the opposing QB 34 times. While ECU has gotten to the opposing QB 35 times - about the same as the Bobcats - they have allowed QB Shane Carden to be dropped 28 times. ECU is on a four-game Bowl losing streak, and this will be the fifth straight Bowl game for Ohio, who has won each of the last two, both behind Tettleton. Since Ruffin McNeill took over as coach at East Carolina, thgis team is 2-12 ATS vs. winning teams. I think this one is a lot closer than it looks. Take Ohio and the points.

These two teams aren't too fond of each other and they take national center stage as the regular season winds down. Atlanta is not going to the playoffs obviously with just four wins so to them, this is as relevant as they can possibly be late in the season. I like the fact that Atlanta comes off a sneaky win over Washington in a game that the Redskins probably should have won if not for some costly mistakes but that sets up Atlanta to have a let down here on the road as per the total against a much tougher San Francisco defense. But, Atlanta will "get-up" if you will as it relates to having revenge against this San Fran team for their come back against them at the Dome plus just the fact that this team has nothing to play for outside of tonight. Essentially they are playing for pride and self-respect at this point with revenge. So, with Atlanta having revenge, but in for a let down offensively after playing a porous Redskins defense, combined with San Fran also in for a bit of a let down after pummeling the Bucs on the road, look for this game to likely dip under. This is a great public fade on Monday Night Football and tack on the fact that the Under is 13-6 when the Falcons play a team with a winning record and the Under is 4-0 for the Niners following an ATS win.
