After a memorable Day 5 at the US Open that saw Lleyton Hewitt turn back the clock to beat one of the world's top players in Juan Martin Del Potro, who will be the next player to knock off of the game's current stars?

Here are two matches to watch as we reach the first weekend of the tournament:

John Isner - Phillip Kohlschreiber: These two players played in the same round last year at the US Open with the German upsetting the big serving American. Isner is coming off a great win over Gael Monfils in a solid four-set effort. If Isner can get past Kohlschreiber, a match is likely looming with Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard defeated the American 7-6, 7-6 in an excellent final in Cincinnati a couple weeks ago.

Ana Ivanovic - Christina McHale: The New Jersey based McHale has reeled off consecutive wins for the first time since May. Can she put together a special run at a tournament just minutes away from where she grew up? The ground strokes of Ivanovic could prove a problem for McHale, but Ivanovic herself has yet to have a great major this year. Ivanovic has not appeared in a quarterfinal at a major this year. If she wins on Day 6, she will be one win away from the quarterfinals.
