MLB: Streaks, Tips, Notes
Texas Rangers at Toronto Blue Jays
In the second of a three-game set, the Toronto Blue Jays and Mark Buehrle try to upend Texas Rangers and their ace hurler Yu Darvish. Buehrle holds a 2-4 mark with an ERA of 5.42 in his 12 starts with the Blue Jays (7-5 TSR). Buehrle rounding into form with his new club has pitched at least six innings in seven consecutive outings and heads to the mound 1-1 the past three with a smart 2.84 ERA helping Jays post a 2-1 record over span. For Texas, Darvish carries a 7-2 record, 2.77 ERA to the hill in 12 starts with Rangers 9-3 when he takes the ball. Darvish has gone three starts without getting a victory (1-2 TSR) but did toss seven scoreless innings against the Royals last outing a game Rangers won 3-1. Jays coming in with a ton of confidence taking the opener 6-1 to make it 13-6 as host in the series well roll the dice with Toronto and Buehrle. The left-hander has had great success vs Rangers posting a career 12-5 mark over seventeen starts and is on a 5-2 home team start stretch in June. Rangers on a 1-6 road skid helps the cause.
