NCAA FREE PICK: Take St. Mary’s. According to the latest college basketball trends, St. Mary's Gaels are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Monday games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win. St. Mary's takes on Gonzaga for the West Coast Conference championship from Las Vegas for the fifth straight season. Gonzaga (30-2 SU, 16-12-2 ATS) defeated Loyola-Marymount, 66-48 on Saturday as a 21-point favorite, but didn't put them away until midway through the second half. St. Mary's needed overtime to beat sixth-seeded San Diego, 69-66 on Saturday. Even though Gonzaga has won both teams, they did struggle at home on Jan. 10, winning by five as a 9-point favorite. Saint Mary's is led by 6-4 senior point guard Matthew Dellavedova, who averages 16.2 points and 6.4 assists. Brad Waldow (6-9, 250) scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds against San Diego. That's despite losing a front tooth that was knocked out during the second half. He has the ability and toughness to step up against Gonzaga's 7-foot Kelly Olynyk (17.3 points) and 6-8 Elias Harris (14.9 points). This game means a lot more to the Gaels and they will fight hard to the bitter end for this win.
