Games to Watch
By David Schwab

Colorado vs. No. 3 Arizona

The Buffaloes wrapped-up the non-conference portion of their schedule with an 80-52 rout of Harford on Dec. 29 in a game with no posted line. They are now 10-2 SU overall and 7-3 ATS. The total has gone OVER in two of three games with lines. Colorado beat Arizona 53-51 the last time they met in the Pac-12 Tournament as a 3 ½-point underdog.

The Wildcats climb to a top-five spot in the rankings includes tight victories over Florida (65-64) and San Diego State (68-67). They enter play in the conference a perfect 12-0 SU and 7-3 ATS with the total staying UNDER in six of seven games. Arizona is shooting 47.6 percent from the floor while averaging 76.6 points a game.

College Basketball: Streaks, Tips, Notes

Michigan Wolverines at Northwestern Wildcats

Wolverines 13-0 (7-4 ATS) hope to remain perfect when they travel to Northwestern (9-4, 6-4 ATS) Thursday in a Big Ten opener for both teams. Wolverines lead by Glen Robinson III (20.0), Trey Burke (22.0) average 80.1 points/game while giving up an average of 58.5 points to their opponents. On the other side the Wildcats average 67.8 per/contest surrendering 59.3 per/game. Michigan needed OT to dispose of Northwestern in both meetings last year (1-1 ATS) but should cruise in this one as Wildcats' top two scorers Reggie Hearn (14.5), Drew Crawford (13.5) are out. Hearn is dealing with a sore ankle and is questionable for Thursday, Crawford is out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury. That said, Michigan remains in dangerous betting territory. Wolverines have just one cover last three trips to Welsh-Ryan Arena, have cashed one ticket the past five Big Ten openers while Wildcats enter ridding a 7-3-1 ATS stretch vs Big Ten foes.

Gonzaga Bulldogs at Pepperdine Waves/ Santa Clara Broncos January 3-5, 2013

Gonzaga ended 2012 on a good note. The Bulldogs went into Stillwater Monday and left with a 69-68 win over Oklahoma State Cowboys finishing non-conference play with a 13-1 record, 7-5 mark at the betting window. Bulldogs stay on the road for two more this week as they open conference play at Pepperdine Thursday then visit Santa Clara on Saturday. Bulldogs having little trouble putting the ball in the hoop (80.9 PPG) hitting a nation second-best 51.8% from the field should cruise in their first two West Coast conference games. The offensively challenged Wave (65.0 PPG) have been easy targets for Gonzaga as Bulldogs have won 21-of-22 encounters (15-7 ATS) including 10-of-11 (7-4 ATS) in Wave's back yard. Things will be a little tougher against the Broncos who have the horses to challenge (78.7 PPG). But, history suggest Bulldogs prevail as they're on a 20-2 (11-11 ATS) stretch vs Santa Clara.

College Basketball Point Spreads, Las Vegas Betting Line and Picks
By: The Linemakers

There are three college basketball games involving top 10 teams on Thursday night. Here are point spreads, key trends and picks from The Linemakers on Sporting News. Lines are from the LVH SuperBook as of about 10 a.m. ET.

No. 2 Michigan vs. Northwestern – 7:00 p.m. ET

Michigan -11, Total: 129.5

· Wolverines are 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Northwestern.

· Wolverines are 38-18-1 ATS in their last 57 games overall.

· Wolverines are 21-7 ATS in their last 28 Thursday games.

· Wolverines are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS loss.

· Wolverines are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 vs. Big Ten.

· Wildcats are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big Ten.

· Over is 7-1 in Wildcats' last eight home games.

· Over is 4-1 in Wolverines' last five overall.

The Linemakers' take: Michigan has been super impressive, but they have only played one true road game (won by eight at Bradley). Freshman Nik Stauskas has already been named Big 10 Freshman of the Week three times. He is making 56.5 percent of his threes. All that being said, these two teams played two overtime games last year. Michigan won both, but this is a really tough floor to play on, and the Wolverines are laying a big number here. Check on the availability of Tim Hardaway, Jr., who missed the last game with an ankle issue and will be a game-time decision. We think it's too many points.

Colorado vs. No. 3 Arizona – 8:00 p.m. ET

Arizona -11.5, Total: 139.5

· Buffaloes are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games.

· Buffaloes are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

· Wildcats are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

· Wildcats are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 Thursday games.

· Wildcats are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS loss.

· Under is 4-1 in Wildcats' last five vs. Pac-12.

· Under is 19-6-1 in Wildcats' last 26 games following a SU win.

· Under is 15-5-1 in Wildcats' last 21 home games.

· Over is 9-4 in Wildcats' last 13 Thursday games.

The Linemakers' take: The Buffaloes are a very solid basketball team led by Askia Booker (14.8 ppg) and rebounding machine Andre Roberson (12.1 rpg). Arizona is talented, but also young. They already have wins over Florida and San Diego State, but both were by just one point. Conference games are a different animal than the non-conference. We are expecting this to be a tough, hard fought game all the way.

No. 10 Gonzaga vs. Pepperdine– 9:00 p.m. ET

Gonzaga -15.5, Total: N/A

· Bulldogs are 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Pepperdine.

· Bulldogs are 18-6-2 ATS in the last 26 meetings.

· Favorite is 18-6-2 ATS in the last 26 meetings.

· Road team is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

· Waves are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games.

· Waves are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.

· Under is 5-0 in Bulldogs' last five Thursday games.

· Over is 4-1 in Bulldogs' last five games following a SU win.

· Under is 3-1-1 in Bulldogs' last five vs. a team with a winning SU record.

· Under is 20-7 in Bulldogs' last 27 vs. West Coast.

· Under is 27-11-1 in Bulldogs' last 39 overall.
