UFC Heavyweight Bout – Roy Nelson (17-7) vs. Matt Mitrione (5-1)

This fight should be explosive, as both men have powerful striking. The key will be that Nelson has the edge in technique and experience. Nelson also has the stronger chin. Over the 15 minutes of fighting, I expect Nelson to land a few big punches that will lead to a TKO victory. Mitrione has some nice footwork, but I think he will be a bit overwhelmed in this contest. This is the Ultimate Fighter Finale bout. This fight should be Ricci’s to lose. He has the benefits of training at Tristar gym with some of the top fighters in the world, and his list of past opponents is far greater than Smith’s. Smith has some nice grappling and submission skills, but Ricci should be well-prepared for this bout and display sound striking and grappling skills to earn a unanimous decison.
