Wednesday's Betting Tips

Wednesday Night Sports Lines and Odds

It's time for the first full night of basketball action as the NBA is on tap.  ATS SportsLine is ready for all the hoops, which dominates the Wednesday slate. Football will have to wait until Thursday so get ready to lay the wood or take the dog. It doesn't matter if you are into Fantasy sports, sports betting, looking for some free picks or laying a friendly wager with your work buddies.

Let's get rolling:

Denver at Philadelphia

Philadelphia traded away Andre Iguodala and lost Lou Williams, thus shaking up the team. They are relying on C Andrew Bynum, who is already hampered by a knee injury and is questionable for this game. Denver also has a player injured in Danilo Gallinari (ankle). Denver could be a sleeper in the Western Conference. Denver is 6-1 ATS L7 on the road in this series. Philadelphia is a 1.5-point favorite with a total of 199.

Houston at Detroit

Houston made a deal just a few days ago, shocking the league by acquiring James Harden, who makes his Rockets debut. Houston gave up a lot in guard Kevin Martin, rookie Jeremy Lamb and two first-round picks. The Rockets went 34-32 last season, missing out on the postseason for the third straight year. Detroit has a star in the middle in Greg Monroe and a raw rookie in Andre Drummond, who has great potential.
Detroit is 9-2 ATS L11 Wednesday games. Detroit is a 3-point favorite with a total of 190.

San Antonio at New Orleans

This is the debut of rookie Anthony Davis, who averaged nearly 15 points, 10 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in preseason. He'll take on Tim Duncan, who is about the same height and has a similar wingspan, But Duncan is about 260 pounds and Davis is about 220. In a few years, with his athletic ability, Davis could be the next Duncan. Spurs are 8-2 ATS L10 vs. Northwest Division. The Spurs are a 6.5-point favorite with a total of 189.

Memphis at LA Clippers

The Clippers (40-26) qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2005-2006 after acquiring Chris Paul from New Orleans teaming him with young star forward Blake Griffin. Los Angeles signed Griffin to a five-year, $95 million extension in July. But the Clippers were swept by San Antonio in the conference semifinals after knocking off Memphis. The Grizzlies' lack of a bench and a quality shooting guard could be their downfall. Clippers are 4-9-2 ATS L15 overall. The Clippers are a 4-point favorite with a total of 187.5.
