2012 NASCAR Odds – Goody’s Fast Relief 500 – Denny Hamlin Favored

RIDGEWAY, VA (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway this week for the running of the Goody’s Fast Relief 500.

According to oddsmakers, Denny Hamlin is the favorite to win with 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson (9/2), Kyle Busch (6/1), and Tony Stewart (6/1).

Hamlin is seventh in the point standings. He has one win and two top 5’s this year. Hamlin has four wins at Martinsville in his career with nine top 5’s and 11 top 10’s. His average finish at this track is 6.5 while his driver rating is 113.6, which ranks third in the series.

Johnson is ninth in the point standings. He owns two top 5’s and four top 10’s this season. Johnson has six wins at Martinsville and an average finish of 5.5 while his driver rating is 122.2, which is best of any driver in the series.

Busch is 14th in the point standings. He has just one top 5 on the year, but also has two top 10’s. Busch has not won at Martinsville, but he has six top 5’s and seven top 10’s there. His average finish at the track is 16.4 while his driver rating is 95.8.

Stewart is fourth in the point standings, 18 points out of the lead. Stewart already owns two wins this year, most of any driver. Stewart has three wins and nine top 5’s at Martinsville. His average finish at the track is 13.4 while his driver rating is 102.2, which ranks fourth in the series.
