London Game looked like they used probowl rules

London Game looked like they used probowl rules

I read a couple of posts on here about the grass being longer, and how it holds moisture, even if it rains the day before. I agreed with this theory, as last years game was very low scoring. What seems off here, is the fact that these two defenses had 30 sacks between them, the offenses had allowed 17 sacks between them also. There was not one sack recorded yesterday, in this game. Did the NFL let the quarterbacks throw without pressure, to promote the offensive game? Was the grass so thick that the lineman couldn't run through it? Or did each offensive line have their best game of the season, after flying 5000 miles. The turf to grass theory definetly did not apply...lol

I read this also yesterday and spent a lot of time looking at the turf when shots were available. I didn't find it to be any better/worse than turf in American stadiums and it certainly didn't have any impact on the game nearest I can tell.

I also cannot believe that the NFL laid any ground rules out for these teams. With player blogs and stuff being so popular and widespread there would be no way these overpriced prima donnas could keep their mouth shut.

Re: London Game looked like they used probowl rules

maybe we will hear something later, stats don't always make the score, but these QB's are not the most mobile in the league, the Saints were averaging 2 sacks a game, the Chargers were giving up 1.4 sacks a game, and on the other side, the Saints are sacked an average of 1 sack per game, and the Chargers were sacking the QB at 2.28 sacks per game, neither team had any extra time to prepare their blocking schemes, in fact they probably had less time than normal. Just food for thought.

Two bad teams that resemble a yo - yo. One week they are up and the next week they are down, tough to get a feel for either of these two teams this year.
