CHICAGO with Harden -129 over LA Dodgers

It's do-or-die for Chicago on Saturday night and I think my beloved Cubbies will get the job done.

The Cubs will hand the ball to Rich Harden. Even though Harden has issued 11 walks in his last two starts, the right-hander from Oakland has been money for Chicago since he joined the team back in the middle of July. As a starter for the Cubs, Rich has tossed 71.0 frames and been touched for only 14 earned runs and 39 hits. That breaks down to a reliable 5-1 overall record and a nifty 1.77 ERA. His strikeout-to-walk ratio of 89-30 is noteworthy too.

Hitting the road will be a good thing for Lou's troops. Teams have a tendency to focus better on foreign soil. Chicago has played well as a guest too cashing 21 of its last 29. Also, with Harden on the bump, the Cubs have brought home the bacon in eight of their last nine.

Los Angeles is playing well right now and this won't be an easy game for Chicago. But, the Cubs were the best team in the National League this year and they're embarrassed. Take Chicago with listed pitcher Harden.

Play: Nevada -24

The Nevada Wolfpack is coming off a 49-27 victory over UNLV to claim the Fremont cannon once again. The Wolfpack’s QB Colin Kaepernick was the star in the rout of their in-state rivals from the south as he ran the ball for 240 yards, scored three touchdowns, completing 11 of 16 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Nevada has three games ahead of them that are very winnable in Idaho, New Mexico State, and Utah State. The Wolf pack will have too much offense for arguably the worst defense in the league. Idaho has only one win this season and that was against Idaho State. Idaho is giving up an average of 504 yards and 49 points per game. Some of the worst teams in the country have even destroyed the Vandals. Utah State blew them out 42-17 and the San Diego State 45-17. Look for Nevada to blow out the Vandals!
