MATT RIVERS
Rik Smits is not walking through the door for the Red Foxes tonight and the visitors have lost three of their last four games but Manhattan has turned into a joke and is a must go against here.
I really cannot pinpoint how Manhattan has regressed so rapidly to the point where they are today but they just flat out stink. I do realize that they lost their coach in Bobby Gonzalez but this freefall is still a bit much. This was a team that went to the NCAA tournament a few seasons ago and were very competitive against top notch schools. Now the Jaspers are one of the worst teams in the entire MAC and they have dropped eight of their last 9 games and 11 of 13 and it's not like they exactly have a home court that resembles Cameron Indoor or the Pit in New Mexico.
Marist won by 10 earlier in the season and is just flat out the far superior team and will get it done today

Washington Capitals at Florida Panthers
Washington has won 3 of their last 5 games while the Panthers have lost 3 of their last 4. Washington is 7-3 in their last 10 games played after having one day rest between games. The Panthers are 2-9 in their last 11 home games. Both team's are in the playoff race but the Capitals are only 2 points behind the Hurricanes for top spot in their division and the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Capitals know this is a game they must win. Washington has won the last 2 meetings.

The Stars have taken four of five meetings from Anaheim so far this season. However, the situation favors the Ducks tonight. For starters, the Ducks had last night off while the Stars played a game at Phoenix. The Coyotes have played them tough this season so that will likely have been a fairly hard-fought contest. Additionally, the Ducks are healthier and playing much better than they were earlier in the season. In fact, the defending champions enter the week having won four straight overall and seven of their last eight home games. Look for them to have the fresher legs tonight, avenging a 1/20 loss at Dallas and earning a valuable two points.

VEGAS EXPERTS
Columbus Blue Jackets at Detroit Red Wings
Detroit has lost four games in a row and allowed 15 goals doing it: time to shore things up on the defensive end. Columbus has lost seven of its last eight contests and is 16-7 UNDER in road games after having lost 6 or 7 of their last 8 games over the last 2 seasons. It beat Detroit at home earlier this season and DETROIT is 20-9 UNDER in home games revenging a same season loss vs opponent over the last 3 seasons and 6-0 UNDER in home games after failing to cover the spread in 3 or more consecutive games over the last 2 seasons.

Cornell vs. Harvard
Head Coach Steve Donahue has resurrected the basketball fortunes of the Big Red during his lead at Cornell. The Big Red has plenty of depth and talent and they’ll put it on display Friday Night in Boston as they travel to Beantown to play the Harvard Crimson in Ivy League Action. Tom Amaker came out of the shoot like a bolt of lightening but has since dropped back in the pack and is losing ground in the conference race weekly. We go with #503 Cornell as our Friday Ivy League complimentary selection. Elsewhere on the college basketball scene it is a limited schedule but the Big Man is still busy going at it and he has a pair of winners available on a pay after you profit format that include the Big East match up between Pitt and Marquette along with the top Ivy League match up.

Game: Dallas Stars at Anaheim Ducks
Prediction: Under
Reason: Anaheim is 33-21 UNDER on the year and they are 12-4 UNDER their last 16 February games. The Ducks are 9-1 UNDER off 3 straight road games and they are 9-4-1 UNDER their last 14 home games. Dallas is 19-8 UNDER away when playing their second game in five days. The Stars are 45-24 UNDER off winning 8 or more of their last 10 games. These teams have gone 20-10 UNDER their last 30 meetings including going 4-1 UNDER their last 5 meetings at Anaheim. PLAY ON 'UNDER'

EZ Winners
2 STAR:PITTSBURGH +4.5 over Marquette
(Risking $220 to win $200)
Games between these two teams are always close, hard fought affairs. Marquette is actually 4-2 straight up in the last six meetings, but not one of those wins has been by more than four points. The Golden Eagles have been very inconsistent this season and I think they will have trouble handling the Panthers pressure defense. This is only the second time in the last six meetings that Marquette has been the favorite and the Panthers have been good in this role this season as they are 3-1 against the spread when getting points this year. Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair and Sam Young should dominate the paint against Marquette. Point guard Levance Fields will be back tonight from injury for limited minutes as well to give the Panthers a boost. Take the points!

Wunderdog
Game: Pittsburgh at Marquette
Pick: Game Total UNDER 135.5
Tough to up-tempo this Pitt team as 12 of their last 17 road games have played under the total. Marquette likes to play fast and in the first 11 games prior to Big East play, they were never held to under 73 points. Since Big East play has begun they have failed to top that mark six times, and face the masters of pace tonight in this Panther team, which runs everything on the defensive end of the court. Should be a physical battle with less scoring than indicated by this total, so we will play the UNDER here.

Black Magic Sports
5 Unit Black Magic MAAC Game of the Month on Manhattan +2.5
Manhattan is showing serious value at home tonight due to a key injury hampering the Marist Red Foxes. Marist beat Manhattan at home back on January 7th by 10 points. They had one of their best scorers in Louie McCroskey who is averaging 12.4 points per game on the season. Now McCroskey is likely sitting out the rest of the season for Marist with an ankle injury. Marist has lost 3 out of their last 4 games overall when playing without McCroskey. Considering the home team is a PERFECT 8-0 straight up in the last 8 meetings between Marist and Manhattan, the edge clearly goes to the Jaspers at home tonight. Cash in with Manhattan as the underdog.
3 Unit Sharp Play on Princeton +2
Princeton is also showing great value as a home underdog Friday night. Princeton has won their last 3 home games and they are bound for a 4th straight tonight. Consistency in the starting 5 of Princeton has been clutch as of late, with 4 out of 5 of their starters scoring in double figures last game. Yale is just 2-7 in road games on the season, getting outscored by a ridiculous 13 points per game. Home court makes a huge difference in this conference and it will be on full display tonight. Head coach James Jones is 2-9 ATS off 2 consecutive wins by 10 points or more against conference rivals as the coach of Yale. Cash in with Princeton as the underdog.
