Blue Jackets activate Westcott from injured list
ASSOCIATED PRESS

COLUMBUS, Ohio  -- The Blue Jackets activated defenseman Duvie Westcott from the injured list on Saturday before Columbus faced the Minnesota Wild.

The 30-year-old defenseman had been out since Nov. 25 when he sustained his second concussion of the season. His first came at Chicago on Oct. 23, and Westcott missed several games while on a conditioning assignment with Syracuse of the AHL before being recalled by the Blue Jackets on Nov. 11.

Westcott missed the final 40 games of last season because of another concussion sustained against San Jose on Jan. 6.

He has played in 11 games with Columbus this season, and has posted one goal and two assists.
