Friday Service Picks and Consensus Reports:

CTO

*GOLDEN STATE over Miami (NBA)...Golden State is on a 9-1 SU roll (8-2 vs. number) through Dec. 2. That streak closely coincides with the return to action of G Stephen Jackson (21 ppg, 5 rpg & 4 apg in last 9 games). Also a factor is the emerging inside presence of 21-year-old Latvian center Adris Biedrins, who’s contributing 11 ppg, 10 rpg and leads the team in blocks. Obviously, Miami wasn’t able to fill in around Dwyane Wade in the offseason, and the further erosion of Shaquille O’Neal’s impact has been dramatic.

*GOLDEN STATE 113 - Miami 98 RATING - 10

Vegas Experts Tip Of The Day

The L.A. Clippers pull into Sacramento tonight where they have gone over the total in 11-of-19 appearances including three of the last four. Do the clubs combine to go over the total once again tonight?

Clippers missing a number of key components. Consequently they have gone under the total in 11 of their last 14 starts. They are are 47-25 UNDER when the total is between 190 and 199.5 points over the last 3 seasons. Kings will be playing their first game without high-scorer Kevin Martin. That moves John Salmons or Francisco Garcia into the starting lineup and moves Quincy Douby up in the rotation to try and cover Martin's minutes.

Play on: Under

Burns NBA

OVER seattle/milwaukee (199 or better)

Game: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Seattle SuperSonics Game Time: 12/7/2007 10:35:00 PM Prediction: over Reason: I'm playing on Milwaukee and Seattle to finish OVER the total. The Sonics have seen their last five games finish below the number. That's been due largely to some really high over/under lines though as three of those five games still produced a minimum of 205 points. That string of "unders" has caused tonight's over/under line to be generously low. Facing a Milwaukee squad which allows more than 101 points per game on the road, I feel it is too low. The Bucks have seen the OVER go a profitable 41-26 since 2005 when facing a team from the Western Conference. During the same stretch, despite their last game staying below the number (it still finished with 210 points!) the Bucks have seen the OVER go 23-11 when playing in the month of December. For the season, Seattle's games are still averaging greater than 205 combined points while eight of Milwaukee's last 12 games have eclipsed the 200 point mark. Facing a fairly stingy LA Clippers' defense, Seattle hit a season-best 54.5 percent of its three point shots last time out. Meanwhile, Milwaukee gave up a season high 120 points its last time out. I expect both teams to play a fast tempo and both to shoot the ball well. Look for that to lead to a high-scoring affair which finishes OVER the total. *Blue Chip

UNDER bulls/pistons (182 or better)

Game: Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons Game Time: 12/7/2007 7:05:00 PM Prediction: under Reason: I'm playing on Detroit and Chicago to finish UNDER the total. These teams played a relatively high-scoring game against each other at Chicago last month. That game finished above the number with 190 points. However, if not for a monster night (36 points) from Rasheed Wallace, that game would have been substantially lower-scoring. This season, the Pistons have been playing significantly lower-scoring games at home than they have on the road. Their "home defense" ranks second in the league, behind only the Celtics. Not surprisingly, the "over" has been profiftable when they've played on the road but the UNDER is 5-2 in their seven games. Meanwhile, the Bulls have played lower-scoring games away from Chicago and have seen the UNDER go 6-3 away from home for the season. Their "away defense" ranks third in the league. Both teams come off excellent defensive efforts. The Bulls traveled to Charlotte and limited the Bobcats to just 82 points. The Pistons were even better as they allowed a mere 76 in their visit to New Orleans. The last time the Pistons played on a Friday (two weeks ago vs. Philly) their game produced only 161 points. That brought the UNDER to 10-3 their last 13 "Friday games" and a profitable 29-14 since the beginning of the 2005 season. Looking back to the earlier meeting once again and we find that the defense really picked up towards the end of the game, as the teams produced just 37 points in the fourth quarter. Look for that type of defensive intensity from the opening tip in "Round 2" as the final combined score of this defensive battle falls beneath the number. *TV Total of the Month

Re: Friday Service Picks and Consensus Reports:

Tony Mathew's Free NBA Selection for December 7, 2007.

Matchup: New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Selection: Philadelphia 76ers

Explanation: We we side with the Philadelphia 76ers as they face-off against the New York Knicks in Friday's NBA contest.

While both these teams have evenly matched offenses, the Philadelphia 76ers have a huge edge on the defensive end. The New York Knicks (on the road) are allowing opponents to score an average of 105 points per game, while the Philadelphia 76ers (at home) are allowing opponents to score an average of only 93.3 points per game. This clearly proves that the Philadelphia 76ers have a huge edge on the defensive end.

The home team is 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings between these teams, and we see the Philadelphia 76ers getting another against the spread win tonight!

Take the Philadelphia 76ers!

St. Louis Blues vs. Edmonton Oilers (NHL) - 9:05 PM EST
Pick: Money Line: 105 St. Louis Blues

Pick on STL. The Blues are better in every aspect of the game and they are coming off a loss. Andy Murray coached teams are excellent following a loss and this year is no different. St. Louis is 7-2 following a defeat. The Edmonton Oilers are a team to "play on" in certain spots. This is not one of them!

Marco D'Angelo | NBA Sides Single-Dime Bet
521 MIL 1.0
Analysis: Two bad teams hook up in Seattle tonight and when that happens I'm going to look to the dog. Milwaukee was embarrassed in their last game losing by 30. Expect a big effort from them tonight. TAKE MILWAUKEE and make them a SINGLE DIME PLAY.

Marco D'Angelo | NBA Sides Single-Dime Bet
513 MEM 5.5
Analysis: Memphis invades New Orleans to battle the Hornets. New Orleans is coming off a loss against Detroit in their last game. While the knee jerk reaction may be to take New Orleans in a bounce back mode I'm more inclined to take the road dog with the inflated number who plays with revenge from a early season loss at home. TAKE MEMPHIS and make them a SINGLE DIME PLAY.

Friday's Plays

10 Dime

WARRIORS
Lay the points with Golden State tonight when they host Miami.
Bad matchup for the Heat. The Warriors can run this team right out of the gym and the Heat won’t be able to do anything about it.Miami is playing its second road game in two nights after opening a West Coast road trip in Utah on Monday. The Heat are an old, tired-looking team that won’t be able to keep up with the high-tempo Warriors.Golden State is on a 10-2 run after opening the season with six consecutive losses. I just don’t have any confidence in the Heat on the road playing in the second game of back-to-backs, especially against an up-tempo team.Lay the points with Golden State as they run the Heat out of the arena.

5 Dime –

PACERS

Take the points with the Pacers tonight when they travel to take on the Magic.Orlando has been red hot this season, there’s no doubt about that. But this could be a prime let down spot for them as they return home off a successful 4-1 road trip which concluded with a 123-117 overtime win at Golden State.
The fact that they haven’t played that many home games could work against them tonight, especially against a Pacers team that has been average so far this year.
But Indiana has found a way to score, despite Jermaine O’Neal missing time due to injury. They are averaging 103 ppg this year, which ranks second to Orlando’s 104.5 ppg.Take the points with Indiana as they stay within the number tonight.

SONICS

Take Seattle for the home win over Milwaukee tonight.

I know Seattle is not a good team, but I had them as a free play winner over the Clippers on Wednesday and I like them to build off that effort tonight.
Milwaukee has been struggling, losing five of its last six, and they shouldn’t be favored over anybody on the road right now. The Bucks are 2-7 away from home this year, failing to score more than 90 POIN Ts in seven of those games.
Seattle has won two of three and hasn’t lost at home to Milwaukee since January 29, 2000. The Sonics have won 15 of their last 16 home games against the Bucks.
Milwaukee has struggled from the field during its last six and I like Seattle to build off their momentum from Wednesday.
Take Seattle for the win.

Re: Friday Service Picks and Consensus Reports:

Winning Points Online pick of the day

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7

9:35 pm
**PREFERRED
Utah over San Antonio* by 9

Does he, or doesn't he? Even if Tim Duncan
plays for San Antonio, you have to feel that
this is a game that Utah circled a while ago,
a feeling that got only stronger after the
hot Jazz lost at lowly Sacramento the other
night. The Jazz have lost 16 consecutive
regular-season road games against the Spurs,
19 straight including the playoffs.

Duncan is not 100%, and Tony Parker might be
playing through a problem: "Tony went right to
rehab," Popovich said. "His ankle has been
bothering him. He tweaked an ankle a while
back and he's been real sore. He'll be fine for
the game [Friday], but we kept him off it
[Thursday]." If Boozer doesn't have to guard
Duncan, it'll be like the guy LIVED and went to
heaven. UTAH, 99-90.

Re: Friday Service Picks and Consensus Reports:

Nite Owl Sports

Sport: NBA Basketball
Game: Los Angeles Clippers @ Sacramento Kings - Friday December 7, 2007 10:00 pm
Pick: 3 units (Play of the Day) ATS: Sacramento Kings -5 (-110)

We really like Sacto in this match-up, for a number of reasons, not the least of which that Sacto is hot (at least at home, where they have covered the spread in 9 of their 10 home games TY, including 2-0 against "C" teams like Clippers), while Clippers are cold as ice (after a surprising 4-0 start both SU and ATS, they became the "same old Clippers" again, going 2-11 SU and 1-12 ATS in their L13). Included in Clips' current extended "downer" is an 0-5 record (both SU and ATS) in their L5 away games with the average MOL (margin of loss) 16.5 points. As if they needed more problems, Clips' starting point guard sam cassell is injured and out for tonite's game. Now back to positives on Sacto, which is 7-2 ATS recently in this series, and has a very high (81%) FT %, which comes in handy for preserving and extending leads late in the game to ensure point spread covers as well as victories on the court. Take Sacto and give the points at this reasonable number. Another way to get value from this match-up is to tease Sacto down to -1/2 point or better (so all they have to do is win), with one or both of our two other NBA picks tonite (which are already posted and included with any of our NBA packages or combined NBA/college hoops packages). Recall that we are 18-8 last 3 weeks in NBA, and 14-8 in college hoops, for a combined total of 32-16 (67%) on the "hardwood."
