Monday Service Picks and Free Consensus Report:

Michael Cannon Money Train
20 Dime –
RED SOX
Take the Red Sox in Game 3 of the ALCS tonight in Cleveland.
Boston will send Daisuke Matsuzaka to the mound tonight and although he struggled somewhat down the stretch, I feel the Red Sox have the pitching advantage here.
That’s because the Tribe will send Jake Westbrook to the hill, and if Boston could score against C. C. Sabathia in Game 1 and Fausto Carmona in Game 2, imagine what they’ll do against Westbrook tonight.
Westbrook had a disappointing season this year, going 6-9 with a 4.32 ERA. He didn’t do anything to reverse his misfortunes with a shaky outing against the Yankees last Sunday, giving up six runs and nine hits over five-plus innings in an 8-4 loss.
I don’t think Matsuzaka will shut the Tribe’s offense down completely, but I do feel that Boston will have their way with Westbrook.
The Red Sox have won nine of their last 12 games at Cleveland, including three of four in late July.
Take the Red Sox as the small road chalk for the win in Game 3.
10 Dime –
GIANTS
Lay the points with the Giants tonight when they take on the Falcons in Atlanta.
This line is very manageable for the Giants, who have won three straight and have been playing better defensively each game.
Atlanta is a banged-up team coming into this game, and they will be forced to use two new starting offensive tackles, with Wayne Gandy and Todd Weiner out with knee injuries.
The Giants could have a field day tonight rushing the passer, especially if Atlanta coach Bobby Petrino decides to go with the human statue, Byron Leftwich at quarterback.
New York’s offense will also get a boost from their running game, after Brandon Jacobs returned last week from injury and rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown in the Giants win over the Jets.
The Giants have won six straight road games against the Falcons and Atlanta is just 4-15 ATS at home against teams with a winning record.
Lay the points with the Giants as they grab the road win and cover.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SELECTION
1-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 43.5 New York Giants at Atlanta (8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15)
The Falcons are 15-0 against the total as an underdog in the week following a road game in which they got a first down in less than 25 percent of their offensive plays. Kind of a weird trend, eh? Some more tangible numbers are that the Giants are 8-2 against a total in this range, 7-1 as a favorite (5-0 as a road chalk), and the Falcons are 5-0 against the total as a home dog. Finally, the ‘over’ is 11-4-1 in Atlanta’s last 16 home games. The Falcons haven’t done much scoring this season, but they’ve also faced three of the top six scoring defenses (Minnesota, Jacksonville, Tennessee) in the league this year. Against the two average defenses they faced – Houston and Carolina – the Falcons averaged 23.0 points and went ‘over’ in both games.

We find the Falcons at just 1-3 ATS as home Dogs on Monday Night Football, while the Giants own an even worse 1-5 ATS mark in the road favorite role on Mondays. The Key factor here is that Atlanta hasnt had much success under the Monday Night lights, even with QB Vick as their starter, covering the spread in only 4 of their last 18 appearances! We'll back the Giants, led by QB Eli Manning who's a profitable 4-2 ATS in the road favorite role during his NFL career.
7* Play On NY Giants
Re: Monday Service Picks and Free Consensus Report:
Toby Scot Night Pick
2-0-1 yesterday in the NFL bringing my record to 12-4 for the season.
I win my my big play with the over in the Cincinnati/Kansas City game. I expected a few more points in this game as my numbers had 51 to 55 being scored in the game. We get 47 and the win as the total was in doubt as no points were scored in the third quarter. Cincinnati has real problems on defense and this team is going to burn the money all year long.
I win with Tampa Bay as the whole handicapping world seemed to be on Tennessee which is exactly how I like it standing alone with a play against most of the services who ride these trends. The dog in Tennessee games was on a 12-0 run and my law of average formulas had it busting and it did. It sure wasn't an easy win as nothing is easy in this business but the better handicappers will win the close ones more times than not. I figured Garcia and the Buccs defense would win this game and they did as Vince Young struggled last week against the Falcons and that continued against a better defense. Bottom line I got the win.
I push with the Redskins as the game once again could have gone either way as Washington had control of the game till a Moss fumble gave the Packers the lead. Figured Favre would have to win this game as Washington should have controlled the line of scrimmage and they did. The Washington turnovers created a chance for me to lose this game as Green Bay missed a couple chip shot field goals but in the end I get a push.
My free play wins with the Patriots as yesterday I called this the no brainer game of the day. New England toyed with this team giving false hope and the lead to them before showing them who America's team really is. This team is a machine.
Lets go to tonights game as the Giants go to Atlanta. The Giants after losing two straight to start the season have come together. This team is looking like Michigan in college football right now as they lost a couple in a row and have now put it together.
Manning is playing well and the defense is coming together. On the other hand the Falcons are trying to find their identity. There are no superstars since Vick is gone but the team is playing hard each and every week to prove they don't need Vick. Atlanta has got the money the lase two weeks I don't think three is a charm for this team. Last week they created five turnovers against the Titans and still lose by seven which is not good. I'll go against the Monday night home dog once again as I did two weeks ago with the Patriots and take the Giants as my free play.
My prediction: Giants 27 Falcons 16
If you need to speak with me call ----2 and leave your name and number.

Like last weeks line in the Chicago/Green Bay game, it stinks, and the only way I can look in yet another unattractive MNF match-up is with the home team. I simply couldn’t understand why Green Bay wasn’t installed as a larger favorite last week over the desperate Chicago Bears. I figured it should have been closer to 7 than the 3 it closed at. The books were dangling the Pack by a 3.5, and many people took the bait early while late Chicago money dropped the closing line to a FG. Well, we all know how that game ended up. This looks to be the same exact situation. Except I foresee this line increasing by way of the Giants before kick-off.
Nobody wants a piece of this downtrodden Atlanta club right now. They were simply handed last weeks game by Tennessee, yet couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities. As bad as they’ve looked on the road this year, HC Petrino’s guys have played a heck of a lot better at home. They choked away a win late vs. Carolina, but then bounced back the following week to hand Houston its second loss of the season. I look for this rabid dawg to play well in front of the home crowd under bright Monday night-lights.
As for the Giants, they’re very lucky to own a winning mark at this point of the season. After getting rolled in their first two games by Dallas and Green Bay, they pulled off a miraculous comeback at Washington, soundly defeated Philly at home, and then fought back from a 10-point deficit last week to win and cover vs. the Jets. With NY playing like Jekyll one week, and Hyde the next, you never know which team’s going to show up. I don’t like that kind of inconsistency, especially when laying points. They do boast the overall advantage offensively, but Atlanta’s stop unit gets the edge when playing in their own house. Sure, the Giants will more than likely wreak havoc up front defensively with the Falcons hurting along the O-Line, but look for their athletic hogs to hold its ground more times than not. QB Joey Harrington has thrown 4 TD passes and only 1 INT his L/3 games, so the Falcons would be wise to keep his consistency going with high percentage pass plays and look to the ground game that looks to be turning the corner.
This is an ugly game any way you look at it. However, I don’t think the Giants are as good as they’ve appeared the last couple weeks, and Atlanta has been very competitive over the last month of play. Monday night hasn’t been kind to the Giants, 3-9-1 ATS L/13 appearances, so let it ride with the Monday night home pup and grab as many points as you can get….

Take "Under"
The Giants looked awful at the start of the season, but they've come on strong thanks to a tremendously improved defense. Coach Spagnola's blitzing techniques have taken hold and the Giants are causing problems for opposition QB's. The Falcons aren't much good offensively to begin with and will find the going tough here. But the Monday night lights should result in an inspired effort by the hosts, and I expect them to do a good job putting the clamps on the NYG attack. I'll look for this one to be reasonably low scoring and will go with the Under.

Handicapper: Daniel Perkins
Sport: NHL Hockey
Game: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Buffalo Sabres - Monday October 15, 2007 7:05 pm
Pick: MONEYLINE: Buffalo Sabres -173
Daniel Perkins 2* Monday Night Northeast Advantage is on the Buffalo Sabres tonight! Buffalo is finally playing like the team they were last season. They dominated the Washington Capitals 7-3 and put up 53 shots in a 6-0 win over Atlanta Thursday Night. Today they are at home to a Maple Leafs team that got ripped apart by the quick skating Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh and Buffalo play next to identical game types. Buffalo is very quick in transition and gets lots of shots on net. Toronto defensemen are allowing the 4th most shots per game in the league and Vesa Toskala is facing nearly 45 shots per game. The Leafs are vulnerable on the power play and get spread out easily. Tonight the Sabres will capitalize on the Leafs weak defensive game and generate many scoring opportunities. The Sabres fast forwards will dismantle the slow defense and set up the defensemen for open shots from the point. Buffalo will move above the .500 mark and will continue their hot streak winning by 2-3 goals. ----- Home team is 28-13-5 in the last 46 meetings. Over is 15-7-2 in the last 24 meetings. Maple Leafs are 4-10 in the last 14 meetings. Maple Leafs are 5-16-2 in the last 23 meetings in Buffalo. Sabres are 50-23 in their last 73 home games. Sabres are 1-4 in their last 5 vs. Northeast. Maple Leafs are 0-8 in their last 8 road games

234 ATL 3.0 (-110) Bodog vs 233 NYG
Analysis: ***FIRST-HALF SELECTION***
This is the Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl this year in front of a national TV audience and a way for head coach Bobby Petrino and the entire organization to demonstrate to the nation that they are over the Michael Vick situation.
The New York Giants are playing great football right now, but much of their success comes in the second half of games. Expect the home crowd to keep the Falcons in the game during the first 30 minutes of this contest.
