UFC 155 Results & Payouts
The main event of Saturday’s card saw a rematch of a bout last November in which Dos Santos knocked Velasquez out quickly. This time, it was a completely different story. Cain dominated the bout from start to finish, earning a unanimous decision victory. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Velasquez had odds of +160 to win back his title, meaning a wager of $100 on Velasquez will pay out an additional $160. Cain used a number of takedowns throughout the fight to control Dos Santos on the ground, but also had a big overhand punch in the first round that seemed to take the champion out of the fight the rest of the way.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card saw a classic lightweight encounter between Jim Miller (22-4) and Joe Lauzon (22-8). Miller won the fight by unanimous decision in which was a bloody and competitive bout from start to finish. Miller was able to start out strong and hit Lauzon with some big elbows that opened him up. There were times that it looked like the fight might be stopped due to cuts, but Lauzon fought through it and arguably won the final round of the fight, nearly catching Miller in a few submissions. But, the effort was too little, too late as Miller had won two of the three rounds on all of the judges’ scorecards. According to oddsmakers, Miller had odds of -220 to win, which means a wager of $220 on him to win will pay out an additional $100.
