UFC 168 Weigh-in Results
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The fighters hit the scales for UFC 168 on Friday, making the main-card bouts official. Here is a look at the weigh-in results.
UFC 168 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s card is a bout for the UFC Middleweight Championship as Chris Weidman (10-0) defends his title against former champion Anderson Silva (33-5). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Silva is favored to win this fight, as he has odds of -170 to win, while the champion has a money line of +140 to prevail. Both fighters hit the scale at 185 pounds, the limit for the fight. Afterwards, the two had an intense stare down with Silva being forced to look on as the challenge for the first time in years. Both were composed and seemed ready for a war on Saturday.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card is a UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship bout as Ronda Rousey (7-0) defends the belt against Miesha Tate (13-4). According to oddsmakers, Rousey is the clear favorite, as she has odds of -750 to win, while Tate has been given a money line of +475 to prevail. Each fighter hit the scales at 135 pounds for the fight and the two also had an intense stare down. The rivals are eager to get at each other, but Tate clearly has a lot to prove from their first encounter.
