UFC on FX 6 will take place from the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Australia with the main card bouts airing live on FX at 9PM ET. All picks are made from odds according to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv.

UFC Lightweight Bout – George Sotiropoulos (14-4) and Ross Pearson (13-6)

This fight should be very competitive but I see Sotiropoulos winning in his homeland. G-Sot, as he is called will eventually tire Pearson and get him to the ground where he will then lock in a choke in the third round. Pearson can win this fight with his boxing, but I think he will struggle with the size differential and fighting in enemy territory. UFC FREE PICK – GEORGE SOTIROPOULOS -135

UFC Middleweight Bout – Hector Lombard (31-3-1) and Rousimar Palhares (14-4)

Lombard had a really poor showing in his UFC debut, but he was dealing with an illness. He will be looking to make a statement in this fight and Palhares should be a good matchup for him to do so. I think Lombard will be the stronger fighter in the grappling, and the better grappler. The only way Palhares can win is by getting a hold of Lombard’s legs on the ground, but I don’t see that happening. Look for Lombard to pick apart Palhares on the feet and win by unanimous decision. UFC FREE PICK – HECTOR LOMBARD -215
