St. Pierre tops Koscheck again
MONTREAL, QUEBEC (TheSpread) – Georges St. Pierre successfully defended his UFC Welterweight Championship in a five-round unanimous decision win over Josh Koscheck at UFC 124.
St. Pierre dominated Koscheck with his boxing and used a quick jab to close Koscheck’s right eye and keep him from mounting much of an offense. According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com, St. Pierre had a betting line of -450 to beat Koscheck meaning a bet of $450 will pay out an additional $100.
In the co-main event, heavyweight Stefan Struve scores a TKO win in the first round over Sean McCorkle. Struve survived an early takedown and kimura attempt by McCorkle to eventually sweep him from the bottom and land a barrage of strikes to earn the stoppage from the referee. Struve had betting odds of -150 to win the fight.
