TORONTO, Onatrio – UFC 140 takes place on Saturday night and features a stacked main card, headlined by a Light Heavyweight Title bout. Here are three suggested plays for Saturday night.

UFC 140 places from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The main card airs live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET.

UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Bout – Jon Jones (14-1) vs. Lyoto Machida (17-2)

This is a bout of two fighters with very unique styles. Really the UFC roster has yet to truly find a way to take on either fighter, but Jones has been the more dominant of the two and tends to control fights more due to his long reach. Machida is a counter fighter, but I suspect he will struggle to get inside the reach of Jones because he opts to stay on the outside. He will need a one-punch or one-kick knockout to win in my opinion. I see Jones slowly picking Machida apart until finishing him with ground and pound in the fourth round and retaining his title. FREE PICK – Jon Jones -550

UFC Heavyweight Bout – Frank Mir (15-5) vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (33-6-1)

Mir won this meeting the first time around in 2008 and I don’t see things changing on Saturday. Neither man is a great technical fighter, but I feel Mir is stronger on his feet and has a chin to handle the punches from Nogueira. If the fight goes to the ground, both men are so skilled in jiu-jitsu, I think they will cancel each other out. I see Mir winning the standup battle and earning a decision against Big Nog. FREE PICK – Frank Mir -260

UFC Light Heavyweight Bout – Tito Ortiz (16-9-1) vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (19-5)

Ortiz is in the tail end of his career, but I think this fight is a good matchup for him. Lil Nog, as he is known, has struggled with wrestlers and grapplers, as he is coming off losses to Phil Davis and Ryan Bader for those reasons and he barely won a decision over Jason Brilz, who is not much of a talent in the sport. Ortiz will be smart about his striking and use it to set up a takedown. Nobody has knocked Ortiz out cold and he can take a punch, so I see him being able to get inside the reach of Nogueira and scoring takedowns to earn a decision victory for the upset. FREE PICK – Tito Ortiz +175
