Pacquiao-Marquez IV Weigh Ins
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez made their bout official on Friday as the two weighed-in for Saturday’s contest.
This fight is the fourth meeting between these two men and will take place in Las Vegas. The fight will air live on HBO PPV. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Pacquiao (54-4-2) is the favorite to win this contest, as he has a money line of -270. Marquez (54-6-1) comes in with odds of +210 to win.
Marquez was first to tip the scales on Friday, and he weighed in at 143 pounds. Pacquiao then hit the scales and came in at a weight of 147 pounds. That is quite a weight differential, but there is no telling how that will play out in the fight. The two had a tame stare down afterwards and appear ready to put an end to this rivalry.
In all three previous meetings between these two, neither man has come out with a decisive victory. In their first meeting back on May 8 of 2004, the two fought to a draw. Their second meeting on March 15 of 2008 saw Pacquiao winning by split decision, with one judge scoring for Marquez. The third fight last November saw Pacquiao get the nod on two scorecards, while the third judge saw the fight as a draw.
