UFC 167 Weigh-In Results
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The fighters hit the scales for UFC 167 on Friday, making the main-card bouts official. Here is a look at the weigh-in results.
UFC 167 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s card is a bout for the UFC Welterweight Championship as Georges St. Pierre (24-2) defends his title against Johny Hendricks (15-1). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, St. Pierre is favored to win this bout, as he has odds of -260 to win, while Hendricks has a money line of +200 to prevail. Both fighters hit their mark of 170 pounds on Friday night. The two then had a respectful stare down. St. Pierre has been the long-time champion, but is facing arguably his toughest challenge.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card is a light heavyweight battle between Chael Sonnen (28-13-1) and Rashad Evans (18-3-1). According to oddsmakers, Evans is the favorite to win, as he has odds of -190 to win, while Sonnen has been given odds of +155 to win. Sonnen weighed in at 206 pounds for the bout, while Evans hit the scales at 205 pounds. Both men have a wrestling background, but Evans is the better striker. What Sonnen has on his side is a more aggressive fighting style. These two got nose-to-nose for their stare down, but they have a lot of respect for each other.
