UFC 164 Weigh-In Results
MILWAUKEE, WI (The Spread) – The fighters hit the scales for UFC 164 on Friday, making the main-card bouts official. Here is a look at the weigh-in results.
UFC 164 will take place from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s card is a battle for the UFC Lightweight Championship with Benson Henderson (19-2) defending his title against Anthony Pettis (16-2). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Henderson is the slim favorite in this bout, as he has odds of -125 to win, while Pettis has a money line of -105 to prevail. Pettis weighed in at 154.5 pounds for the fight while Henderson hit the exact limit of 155 pounds. The two had an intense stare down afterwards, as this is a rematch from a fight in 2010 where Pettis earned a narrow decision win over Henderson. This should be an entertaining bout that could go a full 25 minutes of rapid action. The crowd is clearly behind Pettis, as he is fighting in his hometown.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card is a heavyweight bout between Josh Barnett (32-6) and Frank Mir (16-7). According to oddsmakers, Barnett is the favorite to win, as he has odds of -175 to prevail, while Mir has a money line of +145 to win. Mir hit the scales at 248 pounds on Friday while Barnett weighed-in at 255 pounds for this 265-pound limit bout. Mir looked better of the two, but Barnett has never been a real “cut” fighter. The key to this fight will probably be which fighter comes in better shape, and Mir’s muscles don’t necessarily mean better cardio.
