UFC 133 takes place Saturday night and the main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET. There will be two prelims that air live on Spike TV starting at 8PM ET. The event takes place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The main event is a light heavyweight rematch between Ortiz (17-8-1) and Evans (20-1-1). According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog Evans is the overwhelming favorite to win the contest with odds of -450, while Ortiz has a money line of +350. These two fought back at UFC 73 in July of 2007 and competed to a draw. Ortiz was deducted a point in the fight, or he would have won the contest outright. Since then, both men have been on different paths. Evans went on to win the light heavyweight title and is now once again the No. 1 contender to the title, while Ortiz went through a five-year winless stretch before beating Ryan Bader at UFC 132 on July 2. Ortiz is taking this fight on short notice, as originally, Phil Davis was set to fight Evans.
The co-main event for Saturday is a middleweight clash between Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama. Belfort (19-9) is coming off a loss to current UFC champ, Anderson Silva, while Akiyama (13-3) has lost his last two fights. Both men have not fight in quite a few months, but have very different styles. Belfort is a tremendous striker with great hand speed and power while Akiyama is a judo grappler that will want to get the fight to the ground. Belfort is the favorite to win the fight with odds of -300 while Akiyama comes in with a money line of +240.
