LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Manny Pacquiao seemed to have a win in the eyes of the viewers and writers, but the judges saw it as a win for Timothy Bradley on Saturday night.

Saturday’s WBO Welterweight Championship was expected to be an interesting new challenge for Pacquiao, as Bradley came in undefeated, but in the end it was the decision that garnered the most buzz.
Bradley did have some early success against Pacquiao, as he came out with an aggressive style, but Pacquiao survived the early storm and seemed to settle in around the third round. In the fourth, Bradley appeared to twist his ankle and was never quite the same. From there, Pacquiao found his range and picked apart Bradley.
The champion did put it on cruise control toward the end, but seemingly not enough to lose the contest. Pacquiao out-struck Bradley 253-159, but when the scorecards came out it was 115-113 twice for Bradley and once for Pacquiao, giving Bradley the very unlikely win. Some boxing writers had Pacquiao winning 11 of the 12 rounds.
According to oddsmakers, Bradley had odds of +300 to win this fight, which means a $100 wager on Bradley will pay out an additional $300.
With the controversial decision, a rematch between the two is very likely and probably will happen in the immediate future.
