Updated Pacquiao vs. Bradley Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will meet Saturday night for the WBO Welterweight Championship. Here is a look at the latest odds for this contest.
This fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight will air live on HBO PPV. According to oddsmakers, Pacquiao (54-3-2) is the favorite to win this contest, as he has a money line of -400. The challenger, Bradley (28-0-0, 1 NC), comes in with odds of +300 to win.
This current odds are pretty interesting as Pacquiao originally opened with a money line of -550 to win and Bradley came in with odds of +350. The dramatic shift in odds says that Bradley has been picking up steam with betters as the fight nears. Certainly Bradley has talked a good game and appears confident, but his lack of big-fight experience is a concern.
By comparison, the change in odds for this fight is interesting when looking at the recent Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Miguel Cotto fight. Mayweather’s odds opened at -700 but climbed to -800 by the end of the week. The fact that Pacquiao’s odds are dropping in size make it seem that he doesn’t have the confidence of the boxing fan base, whereas Mayweather did. Cotto was more of an established fighter than Bradley. But, perhaps Bradley’s unbeaten record is what is wooing the betters. Saturday night will show who which group knew what they were talking about.
