UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Another season of The Ultimate Fighter is in the books and the season finale takes place live on FX this Friday. Here is a look at the odds for the fight card. View Real-Time Sports Betting Odds UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale will take place from the Pearl at the Palms Casino with the main card bouts airing live on FX at 9PM ET. The undercard will air live on Fuel TV prior to the main card. The main event of Friday’s card doesn’t revolve around The Ultimate Fighter. It is actually a welterweight contest between top contenders Jake Ellenberger (27-5) and Martin Kampmann (19-5). According to oddsmakers, Ellenberger is the slight favorite to win this bout, as he has a money line of -220 to win, while Kampmann has odds of +180 to win. Ellenberger is a powerful striker with solid wrestling ability while Kampmann is a technical kickboxer with strong submission and grappling ability. This fight should be pretty even no matter where it goes, but the big difference is that Ellenberger has the power while Kampmann has the speed. Ellenberger has won six straight coming into this bout and his lone UFC loss was a split decision to current interim champ, Carlos Condit. Kampmann has won two straight but most of his UFC losses have been razor-thin decisions to top competition. The co-main event of Friday’s card is the finals of the Ultimate Fighter Lightweight Tournament with Mike Chiesa (7-0) taking on Al Iaquinta (5-1-1). Unlike most seasons, where the finalists have had months to prepare, this season’s show was live throughout the 13 weeks. Both of these men fought last Friday to earn this fight, so the health status and fatigue level of both men is unknown. They are both contending for a guaranteed UFC contract, so they will leave it all on the table, not matter what they have in the tank. Oddsmakers have Iaquinta as the favorite in this contest, as he has a money line of -275 to win, while Chiesa has odds of +215. Iaquinta is considered the more well-rounded fighter as he uses a combination of striking and grappling. Chiesa is a scrappy submission fighter that has managed to outlast his opponents. Chiesa has a little extra motivation coming into the bout as he lost his father one week into the show and has been driven to succeed by that loss.
